Air traffic control tower operators direct air traffic on and within the vicinity of airports according to established procedures and policies in order to prevent collisions and to minimize delays arising from traffic congestion.

US citizen; age 30 or under; pass medical exam and security investigation; English language proficiency; three years progressively responsible work experience, Bachelor's degree, or combination of post-secondary education and work experience that totals three years; complete a training course at the FAA Academy; and be willing to relocate based on staffing needs.
