Pyrotechnic-Proximate Audience Assistant

A Proximate Audience Assistant under the supervision of the Proximate Audience Operator under the supervision of the Proximate Audience Operator, assists with the safety, setup and discharge of a pyrotechnic display that occurs within a building or structure or outside before an audience within 75ft. of the pyrotechnics. A 1.3 Pyrotechnic Licensed Operator is responsible for the safety, setup and discharge of professional display fireworks that utilize pyrotechnic materials that are Federally Regulated and require an Alcohol Tobacco And Explosives (BATFE) license to purchase. A 1.3 g Pyrotechnic Licensed Operator is responsible for the supervision of personnel at the pyrotechnic display. A 1.4 Pyrotechnic Licensed Operator is responsible for the safety, setup and discharge of lower grade fireworks (consumer fireworks) that utilize pyrotechnic materials that are legal in neighboring states but not legal in North Carolina but are not Federally regulated.

Other Requirements

A Proximate Audience Licensed Operator must be 21 years of age, successfully complete the minimum training requirements established by the NC Office of State Fire Marshal and must have performed the duties of a display operator under the supervision of a display operator on at least three occasions (copies of previous permits issued in your name, or an affidavit signed by the code official on county or city letterhead indicating their personal knowledge of your pyrotechnic experience. A 1.3 Pyrotechnic License Operator must be 21 years of age, successfully complete the minimum training requirements established by the NC Office of State Fire Marshal and must have performed the duties of a display operator under the supervision of a display operator on at least three occasions. A 1.4 Pyrotechnic license Operator must be 21 years of age, successfully complete the minimum training requirements established by the NC Office of State Fire Marshal and must have performed the duties of a display operator under the supervision of a display operator on at least three occasions
