Family Therapists Are Involved In The Clinical Practice Of The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Cognitive, Affective, Or Behavioral Disorders In The Context Of Marriage And Family Systems. These Therapists Use The Professional Application Of Psychotherapeutic And Family Systems Theories And Techniques To Deliver Services To Individuals, Couples, And Families To Treat Those Diagnosed With Mental And Emotional Disorders. Marital And Family Therapists Also Refer To And Collaborate With Other Health Care Professionals When Appropriate.
