Any New School (Private Elementary/Secondary) Shall Send A Notice Of Intent To Operate To The Division Of Non-Public Education Which Includes The Name And Address Of The School, And Name Of The School'S Owner And Chief Administrator. Upon Termination Of Such School The Division Shall Also Be Notified. To Qualify As A Non-Public School, One Or More Of The Following Must Apply: Is Accredited By The State Board Of Education Is Accredited By The Southern Association Of Colleges And Schools Is An Active Member Of The NC Association Of Independent Schools It Receives No Funds From The State Of NC Standardized Testing Is Required For All Qualified Nonpublic Schools And Each School Shall Maintain Records And Results To Be Made Available For Annual Inspection By The Division.
