Private Investigator

Any person who engages in the profession of or accepts employment to furnish, agrees to make, or makes inquiries or investigations concerning any of the following on a contractual basis: Crimes or wrongs done or threatened against the United States or any state or territory of the United States. The identity, habits, conduct, business, occupation, honesty, integrity, credibility, knowledge, trustworthiness, efficiency, loyalty, activity, movement, whereabouts, affiliations, associations, transactions, acts, reputation, or character of any person. The location, disposition, or recovery of lost or stolen property. The cause or responsibility for fires, libels, losses, accidents, damages, or injuries to persons or to properties. Securing evidence to be used before any court, board, officer, or investigative committee. Protection of individuals from serious bodily harm or death.

Other Requirements

Three years of experience in private investigative work, or three years in an investigative capacity as a member of a law enforcement agency or other governmental agency. Be at least 18 years of age with a high school degree or equivalent; Be a US citizen or a resident alien (If not US Citizen, documentation verifying legal alien status); Be of good moral character with temperate habits (no criminal record) criminal background check; one set of fingerprints; five personal reference questionnaire forms; if a Veteran, copy of DD214 or letter from commanding officer if currently in military; Liability Insurance. Three Years Experience In Private Investigations, Or In An Investigative Capacity With A Law Enforcement Agency Or The U.S. Armed Forces. Also Allows The Board To Give Credit For Certain Types Of Educational Degrees. Applicant Needs To Be Familiar With Character Requirements. Education Fund Fee (one time new issuance only) and Fingerprint Card Fee.
