The purpose of the Alarm Systems Licensing Board is to administer the licensing, education and training requirements for persons, firms, associations and corporations engaged in the alarm systems business in North Carolina.

Applicant Must Have Two Years Experience Within The Last Five Years In An Alarm Systems Business. In Lieu Of Experience, An Applicant May Provide Verification Of Successful Completion Of The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association Level I Certification Course In North Carolina. Applicant Needs To Be Familiar With Character Requirements In Gs 74D-2 (D). Prior To Issuance Of The An Applicant Or A Full Time Employee Of The Company In Which The Applicant Intends To Do Business Must Hold A North Carolina Electrical Contractor'S In One Of The Following Categories: Unlimited, Limited, Intermediate, Or The Sp-Low Voltage. If The Applicant Does Not Hold One Of The Above s Or The Company Does Not Employ A Full Time Employee With One Of The Above, In Addition, Prior To Issuance Applicant Must Have Proof Of Liability Insurance With Coverages Of $50,000 For One Person, $100,000 For Two Or More Persons And $20,000 For Property Damage. Education Fund Fee (one time new issuance only) and Fingerprint Card Fee
