Plant Sales: Collected Plant

The Certificate Is Required Of Anyone Digging Or Gathering Collected Plants. "Collected Plant" Is Defined As Any Nursery Stock, Other Than Currently Certified Nursery Stock, Which Is Dug Or Gathered At Any Location. The Certificate Is Obtained By Submitting An Application Which States Where The Collected Plants Will Be Obtained. Records Of Plant Collections And Sales Shall Be Maintained And Made Available To Ncda Inspectors Upon Request.

Other Requirements

Nurserymen Who Also Collect Plants Shall Be Required To Have A Collected Plant Certificate In Addition To A Nursery Certificate.

Exemptions

The Collected Plant Certificate Requirements Are Waived For Digging Or Collection Of Plants From The National Forest Land And Roan Mountain, Mitchell County, North Carolina. The Commissioner Of Agriculture Is Authorized To Exempt Charitable Organizations From All Fee Requirements Of The Regulations When Conditions Indicate That Such Action Is Warranted.
